Filipinos really love your SoftnEasy.

As you know, I'm from Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines. (I'm not muslim, Christians dominates Mindanao) We have lots of terrestrial FM station here playing same genres as in your station. Very popular is WRock, Crossover, MellowTouch and Home Radio. But those station are not commercial free and not 24 hour broadcast the reason why i still listen to SoftNEasy. (If you happen to visit here in Phil, you wont miss your SoftNEasy, lots of FM Radio here playing the same with your genres! I recommend WRock.)

FYI: In entertainment industry, Filipinos were greatly influence by americans. We are the only Asian nation who could heartly appreciate hollywood music. Music in your playlist are all familiar to me. I can sing with it! We can sing with your music even if its from the 60s (down to the current). Although only few artist from your place conducts concerts here (bcoz Philippines is poor) maybe bcoz they cannot make money, still they are happy. During concerts Filipinos sing with them. They can really see from their Pinoy audience the love. James Ingram, Bryan McKnight, Jim Brickman, Platters and David Pomeranz did even have duets with local Artist like Ariel Rivera, Regine Velasquez and Sharon Cuneta (many to mention).

And to think also that Filipino artist (including Philippine TV industry) is americans awesome immitator! Southboarder vocalist/keyboard is known to be the Brian Mcknight of the Philippines. We also have Luke Mejares, Kitchie Nadal like Shania Twain, Side A, Freestyle etc. Really have the singing quality just like american artist! Sir Dave if you listen to the music of these Pinoy artist you would not think they are Filipino.

So pls dont be afraid of bombings here in Phil. Bombs is only 0.0000001% of the total lang area of the Philippines hahahaha.

Yes Bernard...Based on emails I have recieved in the past two years I seem to have a high percentage of Philipino listeners. Also many from South American countries and Germany.

I'm still waiting for that particular piece of software to be released before switching over to AAC+. As soon as it becomes available I will implement AAC+ (at least a "test stream to start with)

Ei Bernard, actually i'm from Davao City and very glad that i have a fellow Mindanaoans here who's a great fan of Soft & Easy. Yeah Davao City's one of the safest and third largest city in the Philippines, i havent heard that the Lettermen has made a performance there, oh by the way i'll be going home this May.

Thats it, Sir Dave...we Filipinos are music lovers and as a proof for that even a 2 year old child can belt out already a Barry Manilow song... and definitely thats because we have been blessed with mushrooming number of FM stations nationwide and of course those stations played 80% of english music rather than the locals :roll: as Bernard says, theres some stations there that played identical music with Soft & Easy.

Looks like I have some competition! I wont call that a competion cos they are based on frequency modulation band..and they only caters to household without computers or internet connections and by the way i still stick with Soft and Easy when i come home. :wink:

I dont know about other stations like this one but i always tune in when i can many times i get server busy but i keep trying, i am a dj myself and love the softer side to calm me during my most stressfull times during my day :wink:
